What I found most interesting from others blogs is there ideas on how to use technology in the classroom. For instnce, advice for the gradebook and how to make lessons easier to comprehend. Everyones blog was some what similar. Many talked about using the programs such as powerpoint and inspiration for displaying information. Really good opinions were made clear to me by reading the other blogs.

I would like to learn how to create a program on the computer. Maybe make my own website or what not. I have seen people make billions after creating the right website. I would also like to know more about computer maintenance and how to get the computer to perform at the highest quality. When I become a teacher I will use technology in many areas such as gradebook and presenting material for the students to learn. Mastering the computer skills is very important and useful in everyday jobs such as teaching. I feel maintaing a solid routine and presenting myself proffesionally is very important. Using good computer programs could also help me portray that.
Overall this class taught me a lot about computers and the uses there are for programs in the teaching proffesion. I can feel much more prepared next time I'm in a classroom to teach.

A web based tool would be to find instructional videos and guides to help teachers create interesting lesson plans. Also help them be more preapred to teach. Teachers do not know everything and finding manuals to help you is a good thing. For instance, Serch for Soultions is a guide found at this link http://www.teachingtools.com/index.htm. This guide helps teachers with creativity and depth for their lessons.
Excel would be helpful for teachers because it is a good visual for organizing information. Info such as grades or homework. It helps keep students organized and prepared for future projects in college. It is a good format with good technology that can be used in lessons.
Our project is going alright. The hardest part is finding something good to buy for the 20,000 dollers. We are not sure what would classify as technology. Something to help students and make life easier on them. I think it will be easy to do the project if what we are buying turns out to be a good idea. It is the biggest problem so far.

The powerpoint assignment was good becuase I asked trivia questions then had links to the answers. This could be used in front of the class and done as a class to keep the students entertained. Finding out how to use hyperlink on powerpoint could help me create an easy link to important information that is used in my teachings. I am going to try and be a fun teacher who dosen't bore the students with lectures. This could be used for a fun way to learn. Maybe the students who answer the questions right can get a treat or extra credit. Using audio visual technologies could also help the students learn by giving them an aid.
Powerpoint is one of the most effective ways to inform students. Especially in high school. In elementary school powerpoint would not be used as often. Letting students use powerpoint for presentations would also come in real handy. It would be a great assignment and help motivate them for presentations.

`The advantages of using presentation software are very vast. It helps the students interact and it also helps give great visual aid. It is a good tool to help the students learn. Presentation software can also be used in big classrooms. It is easy to project something so that everyone can see. It keeps students on the same page and is also used for later reference in the classroom. The disadvantages are few and far between.

Powerpoint is used in every classroom. It is a great way to give the students information in an organized way. It can be used to play games like jeopardy or trivia. This can be used as a fun tool to keep students interested in the class. It can also be used to give the students personal notes to keep written down.

Web sites has given students great advantages when it comes to their education. Web 2.0 technologies would be used to teach students as well as keep them informed of upcoming events, grades, and progress. Most websites offer great information, but at times they can be very misleading.
For example Wikipedia can give false information because anyone can go in and change the information on the texts. In my high school teachers told us not to use wikipedia. Wikipedia is just one of many sites that could give false information to students. This can hurt a students grade, get them in trouble or just confuse them.
Going on web hunts have been helpful because of new engine searchers such as scholar or google images that can locate various types of information. This helps the teacher expand their knowledge on the subject they are teaching. Making it easier to express thoughts and ideas to students clearly. It makes learning overall much more effective.

The internet is the best resource for students because it contains so much knowledge and information. Anything a student would like to know or reseach can be found easily on the web. There are thousands of learning sites used to teach kids nad help them in areas like math, reading, writing, science and history. Images and videos are also there for step by step directions.
The internet also lets students in the higher levels to look at upcomming assignments and there grades. This could be very useful to a teacher becuase instead of showing everyone their grade all he would have to do is say check online. Like for instance my old high school Park Vista had a site that all grades could be seen on. This page is great for parents who can never find out how their kids are doing before it is too late.
THe web could also help kids learn on their own, which is a great head start for things to come. It gives kids responsablities on what they feel is appropriate to see on the internet and what it is used for. The internets big purpose is also communication. A student can contact other students for missed work or extra help. Blog sites help so all the students in the class and communicate. That is a big help becuase students can get very frustrated when overwhelmed.

Inspiration was an excellent tool to learn because it helped in mapping skills. This type of program would be great in any class becuase it helps with organizational skills. Students could also have fun with different ideas. It could also be used to organize homework or any other group projects.
It makes a teachers life very easy with this type of technology. Storyboarding skills could also be helpful because it supports the idea of cause and effect and how web sites are evaluated. I would like to master programs like inspiration because it would be so useful. Also to print out to show what and who is connected to the subgroups. Chapter 7 talked about great ideas that would help the classroom like storyboarding and idea mapping. It encourages students to think about relationships and how they effect each other.

Technology will be used for many things in teaching. Such as keeping a gradebook together and maybe even managing a school website like FSU.EDU. That would increase teacher and student relationships among the classroom. It would be more useful in high school classrooms where it is used more often. This would be a good help for when they have to go to college and submit assignments via the web.
Having a web page also helps the parents stay involved in their childs schooling and could help motivate the students as well. Over head projectors makes teaching a lot easier from my first hand experience. Writing on a board can get tireing for a teacher to do over and over. Now a teacher can project assignments or websites right in front of the class.

I have used microsoft word many times during my learning experiences. Mainly for writing papers and other writing activities. It is very exciting to be able to use the mail merge in a real teaching job. It makes life so much easier on the teacher. I will use word for distributing newsletters to my students and parents. This would be great to help keep everybody informed. I was a very novice user, but I think I am missing out on some great gadgets word has to offer. It would be very useful for a guidance counseolr as well.
It would also help in testing the students learning capability and by giving in depth reports on the student. It has been proven that better technology equals higher scores on FCAT and other tests. It makes a better and easier learning environment.

I will use computers in many ways to help me teach. I will definetly use a computer for keeping track of my grades, which is an important part. Now a days having only a hard copy is dangerous because it could easily be destroyed or lost. Computers are very helpful in how kids learn. When I did some volunteer hours at Riley Elementary last semester, I went to a classroom that was attached to the computer lab. There were two programs that all 4th graders were doing. A reading and math program. Dosent suprise me because that is whats tested on FCAT. These programs made the kids think for themselves and answer multiple questions that challenged them. The questions would get harder based on how many the child would get right. This was very helpful because teachers can track kids progress. It is used as a cognitive tool, which is mentioned in chapter one.
In this class I would love to learn about different techniques in helping me better myself in the classroom. Just today rubrics were discussed, which I found very helpful and created ideas in my head on how I need to incorporate that into my education. I feel computers are very important in the fact of just widening your range of knowledge and for growth. One can learn so much from the internet. Why not take advantage of it in the classroom. Dirty sites will be firewalled and other sites will be focused on. I want to better myself in this area and I would like to find some good sites to use when I get into the classroom.
