I will use computers in many ways to help me teach. I will definetly use a computer for keeping track of my grades, which is an important part. Now a days having only a hard copy is dangerous because it could easily be destroyed or lost. Computers are very helpful in how kids learn. When I did some volunteer hours at Riley Elementary last semester, I went to a classroom that was attached to the computer lab. There were two programs that all 4th graders were doing. A reading and math program. Dosent suprise me because that is whats tested on FCAT. These programs made the kids think for themselves and answer multiple questions that challenged them. The questions would get harder based on how many the child would get right. This was very helpful because teachers can track kids progress. It is used as a cognitive tool, which is mentioned in chapter one.
In this class I would love to learn about different techniques in helping me better myself in the classroom. Just today rubrics were discussed, which I found very helpful and created ideas in my head on how I need to incorporate that into my education. I feel computers are very important in the fact of just widening your range of knowledge and for growth. One can learn so much from the internet. Why not take advantage of it in the classroom. Dirty sites will be firewalled and other sites will be focused on. I want to better myself in this area and I would like to find some good sites to use when I get into the classroom.

Introduction
My name is Zach Placido. I'm from West Palm Beach Fl. I am an English major, but am thinking about switching over to education. I have had experience in the classroom from FSU-Teach. I am hoping this class will give me new ideas for teaching and help make me more advanced with different office applications. GO NOLES!!!
